ATV Vacations in Northern Minnesota

Stay at Timber Bay Lodge and Houseboats for your perfect ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) or OHV (Off Highway Vehicles) weekend getaway in Northern Minnesota. We are close to many trails; you can ride a different off-road trail every day or revisit an old favorite.

We have a large variety of cabin sizes so whether it’s your ATV club doing a weekend ride or just the two of you on a vacation, we have a cabin ready and waiting.

We are located just off the Prospectors Loop Trail system, which connects Babbitt, Ely, Embarrass and Tower. The trail passes through the Superior National Forest. Wildlife is abundant and the landscape filled with pine, aspen and outcroppings of ledge rock.

The trail system will give you access to over 250 miles of new trails from the Prospector Loop trail system. The nearby Jackpot Loop is also a great option. It passes through the northern edge of the Greenwood Forest Fire, a major fire from the summer of 2021. Another route will take right across the Beaver River Bridge to the Taconite Trail.

Minnesota’s first designated state recreation area for OHVs and all ATVs is located in Gilbert Minnesota, just 40 min away.

Ride all day and come to the creature comforts such as a full kitchen, cozy fireplace and beautiful Birch Lake. Book your stay now!

Pro Tip: For the best local trail info, pick up a Prospector Loop Map from local gas stations. This map provides detail on trail segments maintained by the local Prospector ATV Club. The Ride Command app has all of the Prospector trails included. And if you’re not a resident of Minnesota? Don’t forget your trail pass.
