On Saturday May 12 a Minnesota holiday was upon us. Walleye opener is a ritual like no other. Fisherman (and women) spend hours preparing their boats, motors, poles and tackle boxes. Fishing has started off great this year! Many fish dinners were enjoyed over opener weekend. Chubs and Shiners seem to be the bait of choice at this time.
It’s finally here – fishing opener! We are booked for the weekend. And we are really looking forward to seeing our favorite fishing enthusiasts.
The weather forecast is good. Today we are almost to warm for the season at 82 degrees – but we’re expecting a cool off tomorrow through the weekend. The forecast is sunny and 63 for Friday and Saturday with a chance of rain on Sunday.
So, good luck getting on the road early tomorrow! We’ll be waiting for you.
